The biblical word “Faith” is one of the most misunderstood words in the scriptures. Faith scriptures tell us the truth concerning faith and that it is very important to Christians in the growth of their life. Many people seem to think that faith is simply “believing”, but it’s much more than that.
The more you believe, the more faith you have. God measures faith in each of his children. 2 Thessalonians 3:2 says, “And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.”
We need to learn that faith is not something you just have; it is a gift. Ephesians 2:8 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.
Faith simply put is a firm, sincere trust. That trust is based and anchored in one’s beliefs.
In order to build this trust you need to read the faith scriptures in the bible and speak those scriptures out. You also need to pray and talk with the Holy Spirit to help you understand what the scriptures mean. If you are confused and wondering where to begin I encourage you to read "Faith...A Winning Partnership."
The word faith is found in the bible approximately 402 times. Faith Scriptures and the concept of faith, obviously, must be important things!
A Few Faith Scriptures to get you started!
2 Thesselonians 1:11-12 With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Hebrews 4:1-2 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Romans 4:18-21 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, so shall your descendents be. And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Mark 11:23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Hebrews 11:7-10 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
